Oleg Tumanov has been playing the piano since he was a child. And he has been composing music for almost as long.
His first real breakthrough saw him work with the legendary Cuban and Brazilian musicians of the Rio Havana project where Oleg worked with many of the top musicians from all over the world. From Latin pianist Chucho Valdes to bossa nova legend Joao Donato, via Brazilian singer Emilio Santiago, Oleg’s genius opened fully. Alongside collaborations with Valdes, Donato and Santiago, Oleg’s music is the backdrop to beautiful, incendiary, dancefloor friendly tunes for the likes of Leny Andrade and Wanda Sa.
The fusion of jazz and soul - and of Brazil and Cuba - make Rio Havana a unique and special album. Blend in Oleg’s distinctive talent for producing memorable tunes this becomes an album no music fan can be without. The Rio Havana project has now been running for five years. It has been recently released with new art design.
