I was born in Anchorage, Alaska, and grew up in Miami, Florida, until my family and I headed up north to a small town near Tupelo, Mississiooi where my parents were born and rasied, call Pontotoc. By the age of sixteen we moved to Memphis, Tennessee.
My father could play anything with strings, a genuine guitar picker. He was my family’s musical inspiration and the one to get us in all the showa we played in from the time I was five. He has performed with the likes of Hank Williams Sr, Johnny Cash,Elvis Presley, and Ace Cannon to name a few. Marty Robbins was one of our cousins, and like my daddy was die hard Old Time Country. He called me Rock n’ Roll, and he loved it. We did a show on stage, a duet where he sang the old time version of “T for Texas” and I sang the Lynard Skynard version.

My sister, Judy Rodman, was the first to have success by using his teachings. She won many awards inculding 1985 Academy of Country Music’s New female Vocalist of The Year.” She had several hits beginning with her hit “Until I Met You’ and more recently she wrote LeAnn Rimes’ 1 “One Way Ticket (Because I Can)”.
I began writing my own music in the late 90′s. Judy and I co-wrote “Crack In My Armor,” which in Spring of 1997 was named song of the month by Music Row Weekly Magazine. It was the title cut on three different artists’ albums, Randy Khors being one. Many thanks to my sister Judy Rodman for helping me amplify my range to 4 and half octaves through her vocal training technique called “Power,Path, and Performance.”
My influences were The Birds, Lynard Skynard, Led Zeplin, Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, and Ray Charles.

Music is like breathing for Leila A., (pronounced Lay-lah) who started singing at the age of 5. By the age of 9 she had 6 songs written after studying the top songs at that time and breaking them apart to see how they worked. At 15 she was already recording professionally and singing background for her father also a songwriter and singer. While attending MDC in south Florida the shy singer was encouraged by her professors to perform and write music. For a few semesters she sang in the Jazz Combo as well as continuing her studies in Classical and Pop singing.
It was while attending this college that she met fellow musician and co-writer Gabe Vales. Her biggest love is Pop music especially when it’s rock based with a soaring guitar, incredible bass and drums. Her biggest influences are Carlos Santana, Michael McDonald and Sade. Her father was one of the first to say that her music reminded him of Sade meeting with Carlos Santana. Her music is loved by local musicians who couldn’t wait for her to hurry up and record this CD! Among the many accolades the songs included in this CD have received include the praise of the staff of Songwriter of the Year and Lyric Competition. They selected Leila A. to their list of Selected Artists whose work displayed noteworthy creativity and talent.
CD”Mustang Johnny” is available at Digstation. CDBaby and other locations in a few days or so.

RaZoR
Genre: Rock
Website: http://www.RzRband.com
RaZoR would like to thank all of our faithful and open minded listeners out there for the positive comments that we keep receiving. We are happy to report that RaZoR is again pounding away in the studio churning out ideas and new tunes to be included in our 2nd disc as yet untitled. The first, “Thunder in a Bottle” has been well received by fans and industry insiders alike and rocks with a vengeance where as the new tunes, also rock, but with some introspection and depth.
Now it has been reported that our illustrious drummer “Ziggi” after writing the lyrics to a new RaZoR composition entitled, “Cool Cold Ca$h”, left town, sold all his cars and estate, and set up shop in Greece, reportedly sick of the wishy washy Canadian Music scene.
Nothing could be further from the truth as he is reportedly looking for new digs in the Mission Hills area and planning to expand the studio. It should be further noted that “Cool Cold Ca$h” is not about squandering excess as much as it is about the shallowness of money and wealth and about what you do with it.

Echoed Silence
Genre: Rock
Website: http://www.myspace.com/theechoedsilence
Blasting out of the Cairns and Far North Queensland region is a hard rock band named Echoed Silence. Currently the band, consisting of Tristan (Vocals), Wes (Guitar), Jason (Bass Guitar) Jethro (Drums) and Juz (Guitar) have developed a strong local following which has steadily grown with the release of their first demo CD titled, “Bittersweet No More” and single ‘Patient,’ that reached number 76 on the Triple J Unearthed charts.
Echoed Silence approaches every live performance with high enthusiasm and showmanship and have made a name for themselves by retaining a high energy throughout the performance. Echoed Silence is not a band to be taken lightly. The versatile sounds they achieve makes it difficult to label the band within any one genre and the band uses this to their advantage by appealing to a larger audience.
Over a mix of crunching guitar riffs, epic guitar solos, thundering bass and powerful drumming, Echoed Silence provides a more melodic vocal alternative to the generic heavy percussive vocals that one may come to expect when listening to similar styles of music, however still incorporating the heavier vocals when there is call for a little more attitude.
