Garth Green

Genre: Folk/Acoustic
Website: www.myspace.com\garthgreen

I was born in Port Chester, New York in 1961. I grew up in New York’s Hudson Valley Region, and now reside in the great state of Vermont. At the age of nine I studied classical guitar for three years with Vladimir Bobri, (former President of “The Society of Classical Guitar” and personal friend of the master, Andres Segovia). Since then I have focused on improvisation and creating my own instrumental compositions.

As a teenager, I was interested in Pop, Acoustic and East Indian music. I was especially drawn to the music of Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Crosby Stills Nash and Young and The Beatles. My music combines classical, jazz and folk influences to create a melodic mellow sound with wide appeal. I use finger-style and flat-picking techniques on six, twelve and nylon string guitars.

While the 24-year old songwriter from Rochester, Michigan laid the groundwork with her driving guitar, bouzouki, and mandolin parts, her music takes on an additional dimension as she incorporates new instrumentation on Give: piano tracks (played by her brother, jazz musician Jesse Elder), and a string section.

As before, Anjuli explores the themes of emotion, integrity, loss, and joy in her lyrics, icing the cake with rich vocals and background harmonies. “My hope for this project was to create a timeless record that will still be enjoyed 10 years down the road,” says Dawn.

Karen Smalley-Turner and Claudine West met by while playing acoustic music at an ‘open mic night’ in Pub in Nottingham, U.K. Some recordings in a home studio followed. Then life, death and fate, took its course. They got together a while later after a chance meeting and played live. They have been recording and performing ever since. Karen the principle songwriter, vocalist and guitarist. Claudine a multi-instrumentalist.

Both women produce the songs in a relaxed environment, where ideas are explored. That’s when the best work comes. Capturing the way they play together live on recordings is vital to The Idolins music. The combination of beauty in music, creative freedom, honesty, a great friendship, having lots of fun and the magic makes all of this work.

Makes all of this. The Idolins. Common appreciation of great music, songwriting and that famous twist of fate brought this talented duo together…..Feeling the butterflies flicker inside when the dawn of beauty, attraction, passion, composition and love of music hits you.

Just a guy out of so. Cal, who choose to turn his life around, and start recording music again. My name is Chris Cook I live in Laguna Beach Ca. I tore my whole life apart, and was able to turn it around. My song writing was a big influence for me to keep going.

People tend to call my music deep, cinematic, beautifully sad, and it asks some serious questions left for the listener to answer in his or her mind. I’ve been compared to the likes of Tom Waits, Pink Floyd, Elliot Smith, and Johnny Cash.

To name a few. I love everything about music, and put it all into my recordings. I hope anyone who listens, understands, and shares the message. Thank you for your time, Chris Cook “ThisFunctionAll”

Bill Mulroney

Genre: Folk

The muse came back to me in 2001 after leaving me many years ago….her call was not to be resisted .

I wrote many songs over the next couple of years, and released my debut cd Second Wind in the summer of 2004. It has received excellent reviews from Music Monthly(5/05), Guitar Acoustic Music, and Chesapeake Music Monthly.

One cut, Freedom’s Call, went to # 3 on new artist radio’s top 40 list in 9/05…

I’ve hooked up with some great musical artists in their own right (Tom Blood, Mike Lessin, Gary Garvin, and Andy Conversano) to form Second Wind Bandits (the band), and we play out quite a bit.

It’s a versatile band, and we can rock it up, blues it up, jazz it up, and folk it up…

We are preparing to record a band album which should be out in the spring of ’06.
