NYHC kingpins MERAUDER have locked down a string of new live dates for May throughout North America. They kick off the brutality with a pair of California shows, followed by MERAUDER’s headlining appearance at 5/9 Fest in Las Vegas where they’ll be filming for an upcoming DVD. Following the fest they’ll play their way south and cross the border into Mexico for a five-date stretch. They round out the end of the month with two shows in New York (Albany/Brooklyn) alongside state-mates All Out War. They’ve also been confirmed to play the Metalliaurinko Festival in Harjavalta, Finland in early June.

Wisconsin’s given birth to a potent and proud young metal beast which answers to the name ORWELL. Escaping current “for the moment” musical trends, this five-piece attack squad execute massive hooks with extremely professional precision and prowess on their self-released debut full-length Endeavors.

While somewhat reshaping melodic Swedish death metal as mastered by In Flames and Soilwork into a more American style in the vein of Black Dahila Murder or All That Remains, moments of Endeavors also bleed with a bit of stoner metal one might attribute to Corrosion of Conformity or Down. Scorching solos and lead guitar tracks flow into epic buildups while going head-to-head with destructive death metal and mosh-driven thrash elements, all developing the energetic and empowering flow for the ten tracks of the band’s impressive debut.

American doom supergroup SHRINEBUILDER - comprised of Scott Kelly (Neurosis), Al Cisneros (Om, Sleep), Scott “Wino” Weinrich” (Saint Vitus, The Obsessed, Spririt Caravan) and Dale Crover (Melvins, Altamont) - today embark on their new US tour, kicking it off at The Casbah in San Diego, California. The band will pound the West Coast all week alongside Neurot brethren A STORM OF LIGHT on all shows, and with special appearances by HARVESTMAN (Steve Von Till of Neurosis) on the three Bay Area shows.

Immediately following the West Coast shows, the band will head to New York City for a special show at New York University, and then head to Columbus, Ohio where they will appear as one of the headliners of the now sold-out Scion Rock Fest alongside D.R.I., Brutal Truth, Cannibal Corpse, Absu and tons of other high quality metal acts.

Selfmadegod Records is proud to announce the signing of legendary grind/punk band PSYCHO out of Boston, Massachusetts.

The Polish label will release their third installment of their discography, entitled The Grind Years, which features 52 tracks dating from 1990 to 1994 and demonstrates a more brutal face of the band that has evolved from punk/thrash to grind/death. This treasure trove consists of the Mass Consumption 7” and the Shrunken 7”; splits with Anal Cunt, Meat Shits, Agathocles, Rot, Satan’s Warrior, Nasum, and Blood; and tracks from the Bllleeeaaauuurrrggghhh, Apocalyptic Convulsions, and Audio Espionage compilations. More than that, there are five video bonus songs recorded live on PSYCHO’s 1992 tour in Australia.

PSYCHO plays brutal, raw, and fierce grind for fans of S.O.B., Nasum, Heresy, C.S.S.O., Agathocles, Unseen Terror and Rot. The Grind Years is set to release in March of 2010.
