BLACK COBRA In-Store Performances
a WordPress rating system
In celebration of the vinyl release of their latest album Chronomega, gruesome twosome BLACK COBRA will punish several California record stores with several in-store performances early this February. This is not only a great opportunity to get the mammoth new album on wax, but also to see the band for free in a intimate yet primal setting, for free!
The vinyl release of Chronomega will also include the band’s cover of Buzzov*en’s “Behaved”, previously only available on the Japanese CD release of the CD, via Daymare Records. It will be pressed on 180-gram wax, the first pressing forged in several limited color schemes (800 red/yellow splatter, 500 black, 200 red/black swirl). Chronomega is BLACK COBRA’s Southern Lord Recordings debut. It was released in September; the album’s nine tracks brimming with the two-piece outfit’s patented style of crushing groove-heavy, fuzztone doom-metal angst, yet showcase a bit more dexterity and expansion on their sound from previous releases.
The LP version of Chronomega will be officially available on February 10th. More tour aktions for BLACK COBRA will be announced throughout 2010, with the band being on the road most of the year.
Interviews with the band are available anytime. For review copies, interview requests and further info, contact EarsplitPR

Genre: Folk/Acoustic
Website: www.anjulidawn.com
While the 24-year old songwriter from Rochester, Michigan laid the groundwork with her driving guitar, bouzouki, and mandolin parts, her music takes on an additional dimension as she incorporates new instrumentation on Give: piano tracks (played by her brother, jazz musician Jesse Elder), and a string section.
As before, Anjuli explores the themes of emotion, integrity, loss, and joy in her lyrics, icing the cake with rich vocals and background harmonies. “My hope for this project was to create a timeless record that will still be enjoyed 10 years down the road,” says Dawn.

Formed when the forces of good and evil procreated to create a delightfully deviant band, Animate Objects embodies the spirit and soul of the new hip-hop generation.
EMCEE CZAR Absolute leads this band of merry men on a trek to El Dorado while stopping by in your towns sampling as much local culture that can be had without inviting litigation.
This isn’t your usual hip-hop act. To make the lyrics difficult to hear, a gang of miscreant delinquents bang on their instruments, creating music sure to strip you of your insecurities while you dance, jump, grab and prod all those around you.

Kori Linae Carothers

Genre: New Age
Website: www.koritunes.com
Kori’s saga of her musical quest to share her soul stemmed from her childhood. Ever since Kori can remember, music has always painted imagery in her mind. She was always listening to something on the record player in her home in Minnesota and Texas. Her favorites were Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass Band as well as many of her classical favorites.
” I remember when I was little, and sitting next to the record player putting my head down to the speakers to hear everything going on”, says Kori. ” I was amazed at the varied instrumentation that brought the songs I loved so much together”. Kori also had a tape player with headphones ” I would fall asleep listening to John William’s “Star Wars Soundtrack”. She heard the Beatles on the radio and began to plunk out tunes on the piano and as she figured out the songs without any musical knowledge, she knew that she wanted to play the piano right then. She took piano lessons, listened to many varied artists and at age 14 began to compose music.
