Featuring Friday the 13th veteran actor Paul Kratka as Paul Sanders, a man who witnesses a nuclear attack on the United States.

What inspired you to make the film Loss of Hope?

It was actually an idea that came from when my friend Jen and I were discussing some ideas for stories or any dialogue she had where we could put an actor or actress in a situation that concerned the end of the world. It was originally to be a monologue only with no other visuals other than the person talking on camera, but as it progressed we decided to make it a film about a man who loses his wife due to a nuclear war. I received the lines and then sent them over to Paul Kratka (who played the lead role in the film) and he worked on it and gave it this Vietnam War aspect, and then I changed some things up to make it more my style which is why I included all of the dark and creepy tones to the story. There is something about the inevitable nuclear war that lingers in our future, although I’d hope that’s not the case, and so I wanted to make a film that touches on that. Because the fact is, that more than likely, one day a nuclear explosion or terrorist attack will happen again just like in the past.

Here is 26:59 minutes of footage of Bruce B. Jefferson inside the City of Chicago 22 years as a full-time artist. I made this footage raw because I wanted it to be as close to real, as possible - with imperfection comes a lot of beauty. My artwork is in the collections of many throughout the World. I could provide you with a well polished, ‘slicked-over,’ bio about me and my career as an artist, but I’m not going to you have seen many times over.

Some things have to build and be real. I have a life and I live life - pushing it to its limits!
