Writing music comes natural to me, it’s my passion. I’ve written songs in the past, but didn’t have them recorded, my family always came first.
After my husband passed away last year from cancer, I started to write and record songs to help me go on with life. it has helped me heal.
This diverse body of work and rich musical background are the foundations for Darlene Bowen strength as a recording artist and songwriting ability.
Darlene Bowen songs share a woman’s intimate secrets, lessons learned, and moments cherished both as a child and an adult. They are an artful meld of what songwriters call ‘prosidy,” telling stories that brim with nostalgia, longing, and occasional whimsy. Listeners often find themselves drawn closer together by a transcendent energy that enters the room once her texturally rich lyrics are heard.
Her intimate style has received considerable attention.There are songwriters, and then there are poets — artists who magically weave melodies and words into three-and-a-half-minute masterpieces that outshine the paint-by-numbers songs that often clog up the airwaves.Darlene furtue is to embark on the Indie film sene with her songs also to have other artist perform them and make the songs come to life.
