Combining a traditional folk edge with alternative melodies, Lincolnshire’s The Treehouse are a musical tour-de-force in the making. Formed by Guitarist & Vocalist Markus Coulson in early 2009 and completed by Vocalist Anna Bennett, Pianist & Vocalist Beth Palumbo, Bassist Kevin Ashworth & Drummer Josh Baggaley, the band have been busying themselves since their inception; crafting beautiful songs and winning crowds over with their fantastic live show.

Now, armed with new EP Ore the band are setting their sights on the rest of the world. Recorded at BrickBeat studios in Lincolnshire by Producer Maurice Mulligan; Ore is a warm, wonderfully crafted offering that allows the five-piece to play to their strengths. Ranging from the epic melodies of ‘Not A Home’, to the upbeat chorus of ‘Corinne’ through to the progressive and expansive nature of ‘What’s Up Now?’ the quintet take the listener on an autumn like journey through their musical realms.

Ideal for fans of Fleetwood Mac, Damien Rice and Kate Bush, The Treehouse have been creeping closer into the alt-folk scene for some time, but in the coming months; they’re set to explode. Heavy on melody, sentiment and talent; they write music that moves the heart, evokes the soul and intrigues the ear. And from a young, ambitious outfit you could ask no less.
