Alastair
Greene started playing guitar at age 15. Originally
inspired by Hard Rock guitarists such as Jimmy
Page, Jake E Lee, and Eddie Van Halen, his life
and musical course was altered when a friend
loaned him B.B. King’s ‘Live At
The Regal’, Buddy Guy’s ‘A
Man and the Blues, and Stevie Ray Vaughan’s
‘Couldn’t Stand The Weather’.
I
have given this CD 4.5 stars because this is
right down good blues music. This CD brought
on sounds like ZZ Top and George Thorogood meets
Elvis, this is one CD that will find a home
on my ipod. I took this CD with me on a ride
from Park City Utah, up the Mid Mountain Trail
to the Crest Trail Connector at about 9,000
feet into the fresh snow line. The ride up was
a solid climb for the next 2 hours, this is
where the music took on it's own life. Very
powerful with beats and crafty lyrics kept me
climbing all the way to the top.
I
believe that the makers of this CD owe me a
new sweeper bearing for my rear shock, the downhill
back from the top proved that this music can
hang on the trail. I was hitting speeds of 20
mph on a single track dirt trail high up in
the rocky mountains. As I dropped down into
the aspens above the canyons the light made
the ground look like there were gold coins all
over it. The song To Poor To Die
was playing and I was yelling something crazy
I'm sure.
It
was a very incredible site and sounds mix that
I will never forget. I'm Gonna Wait
is a funky blues song that had me dropping down
the turns in the trail with a sick grace, was
it the music or the ride? Another favorite was
the song Sleepwalk, a haunting
song that had me riding in a trance for a while.
There
is so many good songs on this CD, that it would
be hard to pick favorites. If you love Rock
Blues then this disk is a must for your collection,
and if you ride like me take it easy on the
downhill's with this stuff.....it could get
you hurt!
