Biography:
Based in the Daytona Beach area of Florida,
Lunavine has performed at local venues since
mid 2007, beginning mainly at coffee shops and
open jam sessions. Lunavine has now become available
for public and private shows thoughout Central
and North Florida.

Richie
Ray - Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar,
Vocals
Richard Glynn, a.k.a. Richie Ray, hails from
Brooklyn, New York. He taught himself to play
the guitar at the age of 12 with influences
by Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn and Keith
Richards. He has played many New York City venues
including CBGB's, Traxx, Catch a Rising Star
and The Apollo Theatre. His original tunes have
been played on New Artist Radio, where two songs
made the top 10 and one, "Right After Wrong"
went all the way to #1.
In 2004, Richie was nominated for and won Musician
of the Year in the newartistradio.net competition.
He was also a winner in the January 2006 "Runner
up" award for Song of the Year song and
lyric competition. The Runner Ups for the Song
of the Year are the highest ranked song entries
received from all over the world.
Richie and his wife, Lori and son, Johnny reside
in South Daytona, Florida
Shawn
Smithwick - Lead Vocals
Shawn started singing when she was 5 at her
grandmother's retirement community clubhouse.
She sang all the way through junior and senior
high school in many different choral groups
and jazz ensembles. Shawn is classically trained
and received superior ratings at several state
competitions for solo and ensemble work. During
her senior year in high school, she assisted
the chorus teacher in giving voice lessons to
other students. She has been in two bands previously;
one acoustic trio called "Two Bitches and
a Guitar" and a heavy metal group named
"Oz". She has sung at weddings and
funerals for friends and relatives as well as
helping run and singing with a popular local
karaoke show for four years. In 2005, Shawn
participated in "Daytona Idol". She
is married to James and they have 2 children;
Connor and Zoe Bela.
Ron
Poulin - Acoustic Guitar, Electric
Guitar, Vocals
A native of Berlin, NH, Ron began playing guitar
in garage bands at 12 years old. He moved to
Florida in 1975 and set music aside for a number
of years. His love for music began to flourish
once again after meeting Shawn Smithwick in
2004 and Richie Ray a few years later. In early
2007, Richie became Ron's mentor and performing
partner. They soon asked Shawn to join them
and Lunavine was formed. In early 2008, drummer
Frank Jacob joined to further strengthen the
act. Ron is married to Debra. They have two
daughters; Karah and Rachel and live in South
Daytona, Florida.
Frank
Jacob - Drums, Percussion
Originally from upstate New York, Frank Started
playing drums at age 11. His love for playing
drums grew and by high school was a member of
the Orchestra, Stage and Marching bands. Frank
was selected on numerous occasions to represent
his school in New York State solo competitions
and always came home the winner.
Frank moved to Florida in 1979 and immediately
began playing with the local band Lotus. In
1984 he made his Tampa Bay area debut with the
Runnin Hard band, playing weddings, clubs and
private parties until the 90’s. Since
leaving the Tampa area Frank had to relocate
several times not staying in one area long enough
to allow him the opportunity to seek out a new
band. Things settled down when he relocated
to Daytona Beach and had the opportunity to
meet the members of Lunavine in 2008 - he was
a perfect fit for them and the rest is history!
Frank is married to his best friend Carol, they
have two sons Anthony and Sean who happen to
think their Dad ROCKS! |
